This review is for the Henna. A little background: I have been getting my roots touched up with regular hair color for the last 5.5 years. I used natural black, which was darker, but close to my natural hair color. My hair was generally ok until I decided to experiment and go brown! I was so set on switching to brown, but I had no idea my hair will have to be bleached. I still went for it. I loved the color, but my hair became so dry. 10 months later, even after multiple conditioning treatments and hair masks, my hair still seems lifeless. Desperate to nourish my hair, but also to cover my grays, I decided to give Henna a try, so I went to Ruby’s. I had previously read that you really need to be careful with the Henna that you use, and that it really should be 100% pure. I also read many great reviews about Henna treatments at Ruby’s, and people seemed to love it! So I just got it done a few days ago. Let me just say how amazing this Henna is. I’m so sold. It is 100% pure, chemical-free and organic. It is also pre-mixed with many other oils and essential oils. I’m so happy I gave this a shot. I love lovelove the result. 1) My grays got covered really nicely, 2) My hair felt so amazing & healthy after I washed off the Henna, 3) The color really matched my previous hair color, which was brown, and 4) it’s a completely chemical-free treatment, and it’s so good for the hair. It’s a total win-win situation. I’m so psyched to have discovered this place. I will be coming back for this treatment every time I need my roots touched up. A few tips for those new to Henna (they will also tell you this):
They won’t wash it off in the salon, but they will give you a hair cap to cover your head. If you are trying to cover your grays, you will need to keep it on for at least 3 hours. Your hair doesn’t need to be clean or washed in the first place.
Rinse it that day only with water and conditioner until water is clear
Wash it after 24-48 hrs with shampoo. This gives the Henna time to oxidize and settle
The more you apply Henna to your hair, the more the benefit, the better and richer/darker the colors will be.

Ruby’s Henna is a godsend. I noticed a stark improvement in my hair condition after the Henna treatment, Itchy, scaly scalp cured! Frankly, I hate to use chemicals on my scalp, all dandruff treatments in the market are loaded with chemicals, they dry out the hair and if you stop using them scalp condition actually worsens. I love Ruby’s Henna Treatment. I am allegic to PPD, so I went toget henna treatment done from another Indian salon, close to my place. I told her about my PPD allergy. She told me we’ll do black henna on you that’s better for your hair as it’s 90% grey, but I got severe allergic reaction from her henna. I had to go to the doctor and take medicine after getting done henna from that salon. I got really scared. I never went bac there, can’t trust them. Finally, someone told me about Ruby. I told her about my reaction to henna. She told me to try her henna treatment, as it’s all herbal and she mixed it with herbs, oil, and essential oils. Ruby’s Beauty Studio is the place to go!! After years of using chemicals hair dyes, I recently had reactions. I would get rash and burning on my scalp and swollen eyelids. I’ve tried different salons and their “this is hypoallergenic dye”, Dermatologist, and an Allergist. I didn’t get any real answers, and nothing seemed to work.
